MEET THE CAST of comfort zones
Richard Alleman (Playwright) has written for Vogue for over three decades, where he was Travel Editor and a long-time Contributing Editor. He is also author of the classic Hollywood: A Movie Lover’s Guide and New York: A Movie Lover’s Guide (Random House/Broadway Books). His plays include The Bunner Sisters, based on Edith Wharton's novella, which had its world premiere in 2016 at the A.C.T. Costume Shop Theater in San Francisco, produced by RE:ACT; Adrift, Quiet Car, Scenario of Death, All About Ava, and No Room at the Ritz. He co-wrote the screenplay for the feature film Casa Hollywood.
Russ Cusick (AEA/SAG-AFTRA) is thrilled to be working with The Poked Bear for Frigid New York @ Horse Trade. A graduate of Theatre SMU, Russ’s recent credits include the Constable in Henry V (directed by Mary Lou Rosado), and The Immortal of the Forest in the new musical, THE MONKEY KING (directed by Steven Eng) produced by Common Man Musicals. Other favorite roles include John Dickenson in 1776, Colonel Montoni in NORTHANGER ABBEY, and Gary in NOISES OFF. “Stay…Somewhere out there, somebody needs your voice.” – Erin Van Vuren
Frankie Delessio (Producer, Actor.) (AEA/SAG-AFTRA) Frankie studied acting at HB Studio with Trudy Steibl, Carol Rosenfeld, Austin Pendleton, and Reed Birney. He's written the webshow Just My Luck, and the play, Get Mines, which had a reading at HB Studio. As an actor he's played Dyson in I Could Say More at The Hudson Guild, Walter in The Rimers Of Eldritch at HB Playwrights. He founded the theater company The Poked Bear, and produced the shows Charlie's Waiting, and The Bookman, which he also appeared in.
Pat Golden (Director) will be directing Adrift.

Alen Klapija was born and raised in Sweden with Yugoslavian origin. Alen has been in a few Off-Off Broadway shows, school plays and short films and was cast as Valid in the Exquisite Corpse Company play The Chechens. Classically trained from Shakespeare to Tennessee Williams in schools like The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He is fluent in languages such as; Swedish, Serbian/Bosnian and Norwegian. Alen is really looking forward to be part of the cast of Adrift.
Anthony Newfield (Director) As an actor, he has appeared on Broadway (1984, The Father, The Columnist, The Royal Family, The Winslow Boy, Waiting for Godot, Tartuffe), off- , and in many regional theatre productions, as well as internationally (Ireland: The Normal Heart, Tom & Viv, Peer Gynt; Russia: The Grapes of Wrath). As a director: Edith Wharton’s Bunner Sisters, Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, etc. Anthony will be directing Quiet Car.
Daniel lives in NYC. He studies acting and voice at HB Studio and T. Schreiber Studio. In NYC: Molotov Cocktail (HB Playwrights Theatre), The Snowmaker (T. Donna Svennevik is an award winning photographer and actress and has appeared in a multitude of off-off Broadway productions and showcases such as The Secret Life of Seaweed, One Two & Three, Celebrity, Los Demas, Team Player, Beach Trip, Unleashed, Boathouse Affair, Human Thief, Kissed Off, The Greater Good, Butter and EggMan, Play The Moment, Unknown Soldier, “Neitzsche” Ate Here, Hurlyburly, Women of Manhattan, The Dining Room, Macbeth, 27 Wagon Loads of Cotton, After The Indians, The Tanning Salon, Down the Loft, La Ronde. She has acted in many independent film such as Sherwin’s World, Tides, Class Acts, Taste, The Dead Guy’s Son, In the Eye of the Storm, “Neitzsche” Ate Here, Scam, Once Upon a Night, Fool Moon. Uta Hagen and Austin Pendleton have been her core teachers.
